Malay Dance
In our Malay Dance Club, students are exposed to the different genres of Malay traditional dances namely Asli, Inang, Joget, Zapin and Masri. Through the weekly practices and exposure, we hope to ignite their interest and passion in deepening their appreciation for the Malay Culture and Heritage in a supportive environment.
There are various platforms for our students to showcase their talents and hone their art. To date, our students have performed at school events such as National Day and also participated in the Singapore Youth Festival. They have also recently showcased a dance that celebrates the vibrancy of youth at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Chong Pang Integrated Development, an event that was graced by the Prime Minister.

The Malay Dance CCA members had a prestigious photo opportunity with Minister Mr K Shanmugam during the 'Groundbreaking Ceremony of Chong Pang City' on 26 March 2023, where the members gave a pleasing performance to the audience.
Rentak Ria, an upbeat dance that showcases a vibrant celebration of youthful vitality, was proudly presented by members of our Malay Dance CCA at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Chong Pang Integrated Development (CPID) in March 2023. It was an honour to represent Chongfu School in such an important community event.
After a two-year hiatus brought about by the pandemic, our members once again took to the stage to delight their fellow schoolmates and teachers during the bi-monthly 'Appreciation of the Arts' program.
Members develop their self-confidence and sense of commitment as they go about the rigour of weekly practices and rehearsals, an integral part of a successful and laudable performance.
